family matters

I have a question. Have you ever experienced a family member blow up over something that to anyone else is a grain of sand but the person blowing up is the end of the world and they can't seem to move on? Have you ever wondered why that little incident to them is some cases "deciding there fate". What does that thing mean to them? What is so important that they will or that they think that they wont survive he rest of the day? I would like to think that is this can happen to someone that i t can happen to everyone with different things. Why do somethings fell like the end of the world? People can make there entire world revolve around some kind of interest that is so little and something that is noting bigger that a grain of sand but at the time it seems so huge?
